My overall experience at Achievement First Hartford High School was enjoyable and beneficial, but also challenging.

I've been at Achievement First Hartford Academy since kindergarten. I've always loved the classes and lessons being taught, and the extracurricular activities the offered. Overall, growing up and going through each grade I developed my circle of friends and created bonds that hopefully last a lifetime.

It was better in the earlier years, now it's just been going downhill. I really don't know how it can be fixed, either. Maybe a better administration that actually cares about the betterment of scholars.

This was my first year in the building and it was terrible.Teachers we’re quitting because the administration sucks their firing teachers because the teacher said something they don’t like. I didn’t even know who my principle was until last month. School food nasty. The ideal high school experience is not found at this school. The only thing that’s fun is the cheer team but the school dosent care about us. The disciplinary staff have favorites and let them do what they want. I’m leaving next year.

My experience at achievement first was average. The academics were to the level of getting us prepared for college, until everything just started to hit below minimum standard. The teachers are split who actually care to those who just want a check. The staff who hold a more powerful our selective to the amount of help that is given out. When I first started there weren’t many problems, now there is just a lot that needs to be sorted and settled. Communication is something they need to definitely better their school.

The education at Achievement First Hartford Academy is very good. The teachers have a connection with the students. The school pushes me and my peers to do our absolute best and try to the best of our ability. They have been taking about college since elementary school. I have been here since KIndergarten till now my senior year and it has made a great impact on my life.

What I liked about Achievement First Hartford Academy is the way they prepare you for college and set you up for success. One thing I don’t necessarily like is the failure of communicating with students.

I feel that Achievement First does a great job preparing students on the academic side however I do also feel as if they lack in the real world preparation.

I've attended Achievement First Hartford High School for almost four years now, and I love the school's diversity in students and teachers. I also love how involved students and parents are within the community, and the school's culture.

Achievement First is a good school and they have good values. However, this school lacks consistency, the teachers leave and come back giving students like me and unfair chance to connect.

I liked the college readiness. Teachers are very involved in helping and aiding students in getting ready fro college in terms of financial aid and being able to get through work. They give us different ways to study our work and maintain a 4.0 gpa. Office hours are offered to students as a way for students who are having in trouble in class, to catch up afterwards to be able to submit work up to their full potential

When it comes to actually receiving a high school education this is the best school for that. It is nothing short of a great time and a great experience. You will be challenged and at times it will feel very difficult but as long as you persevere you will make it.

The is great for preparing you for life in college/university but it is very strict and not that involved in the arts.

The High School is very open to the students voicing their opinion and will do their best to provide students with a very advanced education. However the culture of the school is just not there sports teams don’t get recognition unless they are winning competitions and games and making it big in their conference.

I like how the school prepares you for college. I would like to see students be able to express themselves more.

I like the fact that most of the scholars that attend achievement first, graduate and went off to college or university with at least no student loan or pretty much little to none.

This school motivates every scholar to succeed and embraces our differences. The teachers give all of us feedback and makes sure that we understand the content. However, there aren’t enough resources at my school and I wish that this could change.

I have been with Achievement First for twelve years, since first grade. As a Senior, reflecting back over the years, there have been many extensive changes to make progress, which in a numerous occasions have been successful, but sometimes a failure. Academically, Achievement First has been very successful, claimed by CT as the 3rd best high school in the state. However, the behavior structure is disorganized with behavior specialists that claim they do their job, when all they do is play on their phones and yell at students, students get in trouble for the most unnecessary reasons, the list goes on from what you can think of.
